This is very close to becoming my favorite knife. I've started to like tanto blades because you don't have to worry about the tip as much. Besides, how much cutting do you do with the tip? I still love my two Benchmade knives and I have a skeleton tanto Gerber that has serrations, which would be really nice on this knife. But the Gerber is all backwards for EDC, quick and one-handed.

I have the Flash AT and just like that one, when they're brand new they are a little difficult to open. After you break it in, it's much easier to flip your knife out with your thumb. The other reviewers here might have not given it time to get easier.

At first i never liked Tanto blade profiles, but this one was pretty handsome so I decided to pick it up. I was wondering why this was considered an "outdoor" vs a "daily" knife.

The scales and shape of the handle fills your hand very well and is well suited to a firm grasp when working out in the trail.

It was delivered with a razor sharp blade. I've had previous Cryo D2 blades and I am a little concerned that heat will seriously compromise the blade strength so I'll have to watch out for that.

This knife feels lighter than the flash AT so I'll have to daily carry it for awhile.

The deep carry clip really keeps this in the pocket, however the lanyard hole shouts it's presence.

While some people really don't like the safety, I whole heartedly am glad it's there. Once the knife mechanism gets broken in, the knife will open while hiking or running if you dont' have the safety on.

That said, this is a great knife and i'm glad to be using it for this fall's hiking season as my backup folder.
