Product Description

Zero Tolerance has teamed up with custom knifemaker Todd Rexford to create the stealthy 0804CF, based on the custom knife, Gamma. The 8084CF’s 3.9-inch blade is made of a fine-grained CTS-204P steel which is tough, wear and corrosion resistant and designed for hard-duty use. The blade’s tungsten DLC (Diamond-Like Carbon) attractive, matte finish enhances blade performance with a reduction in friction and improved hardness. The 0804CF’s tough, lightweight handle features a carbon-fiber front and titanium back. The KVT ball-bearing opening system easily glides the blade from the handle with a simple pull back on the built-in flipper and a titanium frame lock with hardened steel lockbar insert firmly secures the blade open during use. The 8084CF pivot’s handsome shield-shaped head proudly declares its made-in-the-USA status. ZT also added a custom aluminum backspacer and a machined titanium pocketclip. The 0804CF is the premier choice for a larger knife built for high performance.

Customers are satisfied with the quality of the knife. They mention that it's a superbly made knife, made of incredible steel, and is a real solid knife. My example is flawless in nearly every way. It's design is deceivingly simple, but a closer look reveals very refined engineering. It locks up perfectly and incredibly rigidly. The knife feels almost monolithic in construction. Twanging the tip of the blade, the vibration can be felt at the base of the handle. It's that good. It feels very much like a high tech tool as a much as a knife, and in the most delightful fashion possible. It's simply a pleasure in hand. It's large, but actually smaller overall and much lighter than my 561. The framelock is superb, I love that the lockbar insert doubles as a lockbar stabilizer. CTS-204P is an incredible steel, much like M390. The carbon fiber slab appears to be prepreg, and should subsequently be more than up to the task over the long term. The titanium lock side and the milled pocket clip are nearly perfectly machined. This is probably the finest production folder currently available. I have an 0808 as well, I think Todd Rexford is an incredible knife designer and ZT is doing a great job manufacturing the designs. With the price this low I think people who don't pull the trigger will regret it. You really have to hold this knife in your hand to appreciate it, pictures simply cannot deliver the justice it deserves.

I have had EDC ZT 0350 for years. It is short and fat, but like friends of mine, never let me down. After some thought I wanted a little longer folder. I looked at both folders and fixed blade. I'm amazed at the choices available to us today. Ok, so, I bought the ZT 0804CF and I can say it is everything you read about. The plus: lower weight, length of the blade, longer grip, carbon fiber material and overall look and feel in my hand. Where I still like the ZT 0350, serrations on top of the handle, carry options, and ruggedness. In short, the ZT 0350 is like the A-10 Warthog of the ZT line. The ZT 0804CF will do everything the 0350 will do, except it will look prettier doing it. I do recommend the ZT 0804CF as a EDC. Changes I would like to see are a wider scales, smoother opening, (mine mostly opens all the way), take the goofy indent out of the CF side of the scale, and offer a optional stone washed blade. By now, I hope you noticed I have not once use the word "tactical". Yes it’s black and looks imposing, it ain't tactical. It’s a EDC knife that just happens to be black. If you want tactical, get a K-Bar, or ESEE.

The knifes lock up is 100%. The lock bar being all the way up agains the other scale of the knife makes it very difficult to disengage the lock.

Great knife. Carbon fibre makes it light, but solidly built. The flipper flicks it open super fast on the bearings, and the frame lock holds it tight with zero blade play. The detente snaps it closed crisply. Razor sharp out of the box.
This is a very nice knife.

Superb quality and finish. The quality is fine and the blade is of a superior quality. Flicker takes a little breaking in, but overall glad to make purchase. Ready to become my EDC.

Schönes Stück gehört in meine Top 5.
