- Reviewed in the United States on January 14, 2025Color: BlackVerified PurchaseInitially used as training/gear bag but was later relegated to travel with kids bag.
Bag stood up to some abuse (mud, rain, scrapes, rides on the back of a pickup truck, etc).
Strap dug into my shoulders a bit when the bag was packed full, but that was expected.
No issues thus far - will consider 5.11 again for future needs.
- Reviewed in the United States on November 1, 2023Color: BlackVerified PurchaseBought this bag as a range bag and / or Ammo BOB just in case. This bag is very well built, very versatile, and hangs perfectly at the right distance for what I want to use it for. Not so big it gets in the way, but big enough to put everything I want in it. Has a decent sized main pouch. Has Velcro strap on back to attach to your belt to keep it in place. Very pleased with it. Good strong fabric. Works perfectly for what I bought it for.
- Reviewed in the United States on April 10, 2013Color: Flat Dark EarthVerified PurchaseIt's a "Bail Out/Go Bag" so it's not supposed to be massive or it would really slow you down; however, I would like a little more room in the main pouch. Overall, it's made very well and seems like it will stand up to routine travel and some time down range. If used with a tac vest, I would limit it's use for extra mags and survival gear (food, water, medical). Right now, I'm using it as a range bag as well, so not quite what it was designed for, but it works pretty well for both. If I could have designed it to make it a bit more of a range bag, I would have made the main pouch slightly bigger and added some modular/velcro pockets inside to separate things. Currently, I have the 3 mag pouches full of AR mags. In the main pouch, I have some eye and ear protection, a couple of .40 boxes, and a two cases of 22lr (approximately 1000 rds). In the side pockets I have some utility gear like a bore snake, e-tool, and some basic medical gear. If I really needed it as a "bail out" bag, I'd ditch the ear pro and add more survival gear and ammo. I'd probably get one more of these at some point down the road.
- Reviewed in the United States on March 10, 2014Color: Flat Dark EarthVerified PurchaseI use this bag to carry AR magazines, first aid kits, pepper sprays, and CPR masks (I work in law enforcement). The bag has held up through numerous abuses and shows no sign of wearing out anytime soon. I've crawled on the ground with it, done prone shooting with it, carried it through thick wooded areas, and thrown it around a lot. Its got a zipper pouch on each end, 3 AR style magazine pouches with velcro flaps, and a large zippered compartment in the center.
I'm able to store enough useful equipment without it being to bulky to manipulate and carry a long rifle.
My one complaint is in regards to the magazine pouches. There is quite a bit of velcro that secures each magazine and while trying to remove a magazine from it quickly can be hard without practice. With that said, there isn't much fear of losing a magazine while hiking, walking, running etc.
For anyone looking for a durable "go bag" and needs the ability to secure rifle magazines, this is a great option. This isn't the cheapest alternative, but the build quality is worth the extra money in my opinion.
- Reviewed in the United States on January 14, 2018Color: BlackVerified PurchaseAs a big city police officer I find this bag a great asset. I carry 3 additional glock 17 mags I’m not of the outer pouches, an OLAES bandage and 3 clotting gauze bandages in the Middle outer pouch, and chest seals and more folded gauze in the other center pouch. On the side pouches I carry 3 additional TQs and a stack of nitrile gloves in the other. I have a folded mega mover in the center console. I have used ALL of the medical supplies I carry in it. It’s quick to deploy with, and I know that with it over my shoulder I can take care of my guys or at least start to triage an MCI. I thought it was a bit overkill at first, but after a few weeks of using it every other day during a violent summer, it’s my go-to and is always in my rig.
- Reviewed in the United States on December 11, 2023Color: BlackVerified PurchaseNice range bag. Or your grab and go when poop hits the fan. I have a couple others. Different but same premise. It's made well.
I have it full of essentials.
I would recommend this product.
- Reviewed in the United States on July 2, 2017Color: Flat Dark EarthVerified PurchaseIm using this as a light fishing/tackle bag when I want to be on the move, walking along the lake or stream. It fits a large lure box in the main pocket, along with a knife and stringer w/ room to spare. I put smaller fly and lure boxes in 2 of the mag pockets and a bottle of water in the other. I store bobbers and weights in one of the side pockets and my phone, sunscreen and wallet in the other. My needle nose pliers slide nicely into the molle loops and I also added carabiners so I can clip on my hand towel and net. I wear it crossbody and its very comfortable. I can easily cast while wearing it. The bag is extremely well made, sturdy materials and stitching. The Velcro is very strong. Quality and durability of 5.11 bags is unquestionable.

5.0 out of 5 stars Sehr schöner, prakrikabeler Artikel
Schade..

5.0 out of 5 stars Tactical change bag.
Color: Flat Dark EarthVerified PurchaseIt’s 5.11 so it’s quality!
Designed as a go bag for use by first responders at an active shooter incident it’s very robust. We use the black ones at work for that purpose.
They have a tendency to swing around unless you’ve got the time and the room on your gear to use the Velcro belt attachment.
However I didn’t buy this as a tactical piece of kit I bought it to use as a baby change bag. I hate (real angry hate) carrying the same baby change bag my wife uses it’s too small, feminine and difficult to find things in.
This bag allows me to store things I need fast like a nappy, wet wipes and a bottle in the mag pouches along the front. Then in the main bag I keep all the extra bits like a change mat, bib, milk powder and a change of clothes. The two small side zip pouches are great for a dummy and medicine.
My wife hates it, I love it.

5.0 out of 5 stars Very well constructed and practical
Color: Flat Dark EarthVerified PurchaseSturdy and strong and carries 6M 14 magazines as well as a small central pouch that you can put range equipment in . A bit small for a dedicated range bag but for a get up and go set up this is excellent . Very well constructed and practically done
