My favorite go-to EDC light. I've had quite a few el cheapo flash lights that wouldn't work half the time. So far, my J5 Tactical has operated 100%. Each night, it comes off the EDC bag and sits next to the pistol on the night stand. I'm ordering more.

    Had it over a year now and it still working like a champ. I use this light with a 3.7v 14450 rechargable battery for brighter output. Twice the voltage and Lumen output. The Cree LED can easily handle the extra power. I keep it in my jacket pocket and use it for security work, and it's never failed me. Perfect! Will buy again - IF this one ever dies.

    I couldn't believe how truly amazing these little flashlights are. They are super bright, and well-made. You can truly feel the craftsmanship in them when it's in your hand. It even comes with an o-ring to protect the seal around the battery compartment. I can't write enough words about how much I love this flashlight. They're so cheap, you can buy one for every person/room in the house as well as any bug-out bags. Great addition to any toolbox or preparedness kit. Highly recommend this product.

    First the good. This flashlight is bright, esp. since it uses only a single AA battery. Construction is decent, and shape and grip prevent slipping.

    Not so good. First, the flashlight is nowhere near 300LM. I've used a PX45 (also 300L) and the PX blows it out of the water. Next, the push button. While it works fine, it's nearly impossible to thumb operate it so I have to press it with my finger, which means I can't point and turn it on. It gets turned on pointing down, then moved in to position. Problematic for tracking. Last, it doesn't focus to a nice circle of light. It projects the shape of the LED, including the gaps and edges. Makes it not a good choice for more up close work.

    In summary, it's a great flashlight for the price, but the description makes it sound a lot more like an expensive flashlight, which it isn't. So considering, the PX is about $30 and this is ~$6, I'm quite happy with the purchase. Just don't think of it as a replacement for a good light.

    There's a lot of hype about this Jay five this and J5 that and videos and blah blah blah blah blah blah but the fact of the matter is the clip just gets in the way thank God you can take it off and you can get a j5 for about 10 bucks, if you shop around but for $5 actually 4 something, you can get an even better flashlight from Lowe's that's better made an even brighter so there you ago. trust me when I tell you I work at night, and I'm also involved in security and we'll leave it at that and I know my flashlights going all the way back to the days when a mag light was the thing to have, and now I wouldn't even take a mag light or j5 if you gave them to me for free. Test things out and shop around but most importantly don't believe the hype, nine out of 10 times the best product is the one that people haven't chosen done 10 thousand YouTubes on- and that's because people are sheeple, and like sheep in a heard, they just follow everybody else blindly over the side of a cliff....every, time...
